Society Together for clean water The drinking water project of Welthungerhilfe and Krombacher Brauerei in Malawi and Kenya The starting position: More than 2 billion people lack access to clean water and sanitary facilities; especially in many African countries. The goal: We help holistically and sustainably in the sense of the WASH approach. The aim is to secure a drinking water supply for at least ten years in combination with improved hygiene and sanitation conditions. Kenia MalaWi WASH Water • Sanitation • Hygiene What we have already achieved: 24 260 million litres fresh drinking water are provided annually for the people of Kenya and Malawi 270 WASH-Trainings were conducted to raise awareness, School Health Clubs established & 20 sanitation facilities constructed 300 thousands of people benefit from the project 100 wells were built and repaired, including water tanks, solar-powered pumping systems and 15km of water pipes
